Our Tennis School was founded 1997 at Fuerteventura by Winfried Sobotta and Jiri Damm (both graduated and certified sport scientists).
Within the last 20 years Matchpoint Sports became a leading company. Especially on the atlantic island we won a countless number of regular guests.
Matchpoint Sports got through that a preferred place to go in Spain.

We offer a profesional individual- or grouplessons for children, adults, beginners and advanced players. Our Coaches are very well educated and certified.
We always focus on very personal lessons to enter into individually to our clients needs.
Well known and highly haunted are our different tournaments: We offer a broad spectrum in individual- and double tournaments at many locations. It´s a perfect event to get in touch with other guests and to make an appointment with further players for the next match.
Participation is 18,00 € for any tournament without booking in advance.
Aswell the smallest professionals are very welcome! Our principle is “play & stay” wich is global approved and well known.
Anyone who wants looking into this great sport, is welcome to our trial lessons, to acquire a taste for it.
Of course, at any time the courts can be booked for a free play. We also offer a wide range of different rackets to rent.

Lessons 45 minutes: The contents of our courses are especially for children who did not play tennis before and their first and initial contact with tennis and its sports specific techniques. We exclusively work with training methods which are appropriate for children and assure fun lessons with a noticeable training effect. Each lesson lasts 45 min – an amount of time even small children can stay concentrated and do not get bored by learning.
Lessons 60 minutes: The length of a lessons is longer and therefore more suitable for older children or those who have already had contact with tennis and bring some previous knowledge about the sport. During this course we start with a more intense training on the techniques and try to play first matches.
Individual lessons and courses with only 2 children: This intensive course is very flexible in its contents. According to age and training level of the children we adopt the methods and contents. Either if your child is beginner or advanced tennis player, we will find an individual training method to achieve noticeable training effects – and fun with sports!
As a preparation for training tennis we start with “olympic games for kids” which is a round course to practice and acquire power-operative and coordinative abilities which are a needed qualification to learn tennis specific techniques. Special emphasis is still on learning through playing and to become effortlessly acquainted with tennis and the sports relevant motor skills. Every child taking part in at least three lessons gets a t-shirt for free!

Except from booking our MP Sports course offers it is possible to rent the courts and rackets for individual and free matches.
In our shops we also offer a test centre for TOPSPIN and HEAD rackets for your individual testing and perhaps finding “your personal” and perfect racket to enhance and simplify your play. Good material prevents injuries and brings more fun!

Tennis training must be fun, in order to be successful.
Willingly we fulfill your training desires and will compile with you your personal training plan.
Booking a course includes rental fees for court and racket , balls and coach.
The Matchpoint Sports tennis courses for adults:
Every course can either be booked as individual or group-lessons (2-4 people). Details about course contents are listed below:
“Crash”-beginners-course: This course is meant to be a first “get to know” with tennis for those who have never got in touch with this sport. One will learn basic knowledge about the rules and will try the first basic techniques like forehand, backhand, volley and service. (3 lessons, each 60 min.)
“Basic”-beginners-course: The contents of this course align with the „crash“-course, adding more intense training and the aim to make the customer able to play matches at the end of the course. (6 lessons, each 60 min.)
“Crash”-advanced-course: Everyone who wants to enhance sports specific technical skills like playing and match ability or rhythm and who wants to learn special techniques, should book this course to get a brief introduction to many features that might strengthen the individual match ability. (3 lessons, each 60 min.)
“Basic”-advanced-course: The contents of this course align with the “crash”-advanced-course, adding more time to train special hits, match ability and training games. (6 lessons, each 60 min.)
“Master”-course: Either beginners or advanced tennis players can book this course to receive intensive training for a longer timeframe. Therefore this is the “wraparound”-full-service-course without time pressure.
The individual lessons are the best alternative to train with an individual training program and to set training course objectives. It is the best possibility to go into detail and to react on individual conveniences, personal shortcomings and strong points.
